The cameras unlike the pitch were kept under wraps

Tonights FA Cup sell out game at the Racecourse was called off this morning after an early pitch inspection. The game has been rescheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) night, at a slightly earlier kick off of 7.15pm .

Frosty conditions over the last few days put the game into doubt, and last night saw lows of -3C with many around town awakening to a deep freeze.

Questions have been raised to why there were no pitch covers in place to protect the ground, and the early pitch inspection. The town has been bathed with clear skies and sunshine for the most of today, with temperatures reaching a balmy 4.6C at the time of writing. However, from Wrexham.com’s vantage point we can still see frozen grass with an icey covering that has not shifted despite the change in outside temperatures.
