The chairman of Acton Community Council has presented representatives of a local youth football club with a cheque to cover the sponsorship costs of the team’s kit.

The sponsorship for the Under 6 Team from Borras Park Albion Youth Football Club has been provided in recognition of the valuable contribution the club makes in encouraging young people in the Acton community to participate in a team sport and its work in encouraging their general Health and Wellbeing.

Councillor Kevin Roberts, chairman of Acton Community Council recently met with club representatives to present a cheque to cover the sponsorship for the 2019/20 season.

Cllr Roberts said: “Acton Community Council recognises the importance of being able to encourage, assist and promote local groups so they can provide activities for all of the Young People of Acton.

“The Community Council is pleased to be able to help in a small way to enable some of our local Clubs and Groups within the Acton Community to do this.”
