North Wales Police have issued several appeals following a number of incidents in the Wrexham area.

Thefts from Motor Vehicles

Wrexham Town Policing Team are reminding residents to ensure that they leave their vehicles secure and remove any valuable items when leaving their vehicle. This follows a number of incidents recently whereby insecure vehicles have been entered and property removed, and a secure vehicle was entered and property that was left within the vehicle was stolen.

Inspector Paul Wycherley said: “We have had a decent period with regards to thefts from motor vehicles, however there has been a spike in the last week. Almost all of the items that have been stolen have been left on display on the passenger seat.”

In total there have been 13 incidents in the past week where items have been taken from a motor vehicle.

There are a few simple measures that you can take to protect your vehicle and deter thieves.

– Never leave anything on display in your vehicle
– Remove your Sat Nav and all electronic equipment such as mobile phones and IPODS
– When your vehicle is unattended, close all windows including your sunroof and ensure your car is locked
– At home, ensure your keys are kept secure and out of sight
– Always use your immobiliser and alarm

Stolen Bike

At around 4:40 on Tuesday June 10th a bike was stolen from Regent Street in Wrexham town centre.

A green and black Ferrera bike was parked on the street and was removed with bolt cutters. It is believed someone was seen nearby at the time the bike was taken.

Anyone with any further information is advised to call to police on 101 referencing RC14086881.

The following appeals have also been tweeted by North Wales Police in the past 24 hours:
