A nightclub in Wrexham is set to act as a drop off point for donations for those affected by the conflict in Ukraine.

The Kremlin’s attack has been underway since Thursday, and has already caused tremendous suffering and upheaval in the region. Hundreds of thousands of people have already fled the country in the last five days, with a growing humanitarian response.

Atik, on Brook Street, has announced it will be holding a clothing collection for Ukraine on behalf of the Red Cross on Thursday 3 March from 2pm to 6pm.

People are asked to bring items that are clean, in good condition and are securely packed in bags.

At this moment in time the drop off will only be open to clothing donations.

A spokesperson for the venue said that anything that has been in the nightclub’s lost property box for over six weeks without being claimed will also be donated.

This includes what is described as a “large pile of lost property containing coats, jackets and jumpers”.
