Wrexham music fans climb Spotify podcast charts

Three music fans from Wrexham hit the Spotify music charts with the launch of their new podcast Gods of Rock.

Keith Roberts and Viv Griffiths have been watching live music for over 40 years and over a chat they decided to record their stories and memories.

Along with their own memories they have invited some of Wrexham’s finest musical talent including Mark Jones from the Declan Swans, Luke Gallagher and Tom Monohan.

The podcast has also attracted interviews with music legends like Jim Jones, Krusher, These Wicked Rivers and Ian Hunters tour manager Mick Brown.

Wityhin the first week of launching the podcast it climbed to No16 in the Spotify music podcast charts.

Keith Said “The podcast has followers from around the world, and next year will see us interviewing more bands from America and Europe, including many acts from the Stonedead festival.

As the podcast is growing so quickly we are delighted to add Luke Gallagher as a co-presenter who will be joining us from January.

Viv Said “Our listeners like the fact we are three local lads and our vibe, which is very much like a relaxed chat in the pub talking music.”
