Wrexham man charged with assault and breaching restraining order

A 28-year-old man from Wrexham man has been charged after a woman was assaulted.

Police say that Theo Mertakkas, of Huntsman Corner, is charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident on Saturday, August 31.

In a statement NWP Wrexham Town added that he has also been charged with breaching a restraining order.

Mertakkas was remanded into custody to appear before Wrexham Magistrates Court today.
