Christmas came early last night as this years Christmas tree arrived in Queens Square.

Earlier last week Allington Hughes tweeted the picture below of the tree in its natural habitat, before it made its way to Wrexham.

Last night Carl Thorton sent us these photos of the tree being delivered to Queens Square last night.

The tree has gone up two days before the Christmas lights switch on, which this year has been organised by Wrexham.com, The Foundry and Lateral Arc. When Wrexham.com popped down the Christmas lights were being installed and tested.

We spoke to one of the electricians who was involved with decorating the tree, who said that a couple of the trees on Queens Square had also been decorated by some Christmas lights.

A number of miniature Christmas trees have also been attached to some lampposts and the Tourist Information Building.
