A leading charity dedicated to supporting veterans, emergency service personnel, and their families, is opening its very first charity shop in Wrexham.

Woody’s Lodge will open its new store in Ty Pawb today (August 20) – marking a significant milestone for the organisation.

In addition to offering a wide variety of pre-loved clothing, accessories, homeware, and more, the shop will feature a unique display of military memorabilia, kindly loaned by local veterans and associations.

The treasured items, which are not for sale, will offer visitors a powerful connection to the history and experiences of those who have served.

According to Woody’s Lodge the display will showcase the deep community ties the charity is fostering and serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our service members.

The opening of the new shop has been made possible thanks to a partnership with Wrexham Council, which has provided Woody’s Lodge with the opportunity to occupy a property in Ty Pawb.

“We are incredibly grateful to Wrexham Council for their support and for helping us make our dream of opening a charity shop a reality,” said Graham Jones, CEO, at Woody’s Lodge.

“This shop will be a beacon of support for veterans and blue light service personnel in Wrexham, and we are excited to become part of this wonderful community.

“The addition of military memorabilia on display further strengthens our mission to honour and support those who have given so much.”

Councillor Beverley Parry-Jones, Wrexham Council’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “We’re delighted to support Woody’s Lodge, who have chosen Wrexham as a location for its new shop.

“We’ve worked very closely to find a good city centre location with this excellent charity that does so much to help people who’ve served.

“I can’t wait to see the doors open to customers later this month, and I’m sure the shop will be a huge success.”

Woody’s Lodge invites everyone to visit the new shop, explore the wide range of items available, view the military memorabilia on display, and learn more about the charity’s mission.
