William Aston Hall and Drunk Monk team up for new beer festival

The William Aston Hall and Wrexham-based ‘The Drunk Monk’ have teamed up to host a huge beer festival this summer.

Taking place on July 29 at Wrexham Glyndwr University, the event will bring together some of the best tasting beers from across Wales and England.

The festival has two sessions available, 12pm- 5pm or 6pm-11pm or an all-day ticket option. Entertainment and food is also available.

Meet the brewers:

Bulletproof Brewing from Plymouth

Their beers are inspired by traditional German large. Unfiltered, Super Clean, Crisp, and always Vegan.

Mad Dog Brewery from Cardiff

They strive to produce an innovative range of top quality, exciting beers.

Made possible by their pure Welsh water and attention to sourcing the finest ingredients possible, producing an exciting range of beers reflecting their personalities and experience.

Magic Dragon Brewing at the Plassey

It is the oldest micro brewery in Wales surrounded by glorious countryside. They focus on brewing a core range with some seasonal specials.

Their ethos is to only brew beer they want to drink as they are a small brewery and they want every brew to count.

Neon Raptor Brewing Company from Nottingham

They create everything from one-off experimental beers to a solid range of their favourite styles.

There’s also a fair amount of dinosaurs (naturally) and retro video game references involved.

Polly’s Brewing Co. from Mold

Their area of expertise lies in pale and hoppy, but the addition of key team members has allowed them to broach into more experimental styles, including sours, stouts, and traditional styles with a modern twist.

Sommar Brewing Company

Located in Birmingham it was established in 2020 to provide freshly brewed craft beer on a tapped-to-order basis.

Their craft beer brewery based in Birmingham City Centre brews between 3 – 5 beers per week. They have craft beer bars in Birmingham, Harborne, Leicester, Solihull and Worcester.

Tenby Brewing Company on the southwest tip of Wales

They have been brewing full flavoured independent beers since 2015.

They produce a wide range of styles from a diverse core range to seasonal releases and limited edition collaborations with their favourite independent breweries and businesses across the UK.

Top Rope Brewing

A Liverpool based microbrewery & taproom who love putting hops in a headlock.

With a focus on bold, modern styles with a wrestling twist, they brew a little something to keep everyone happy from Ice Cream Pale Ales to big Imperial Stouts, all whilst keeping things vegan friendly.

The festival will take place at the William Aston hall on Saturday 29 July.

A token system will be in place, tokens can be purchased in advance to save time on arrival.
