There is still time to cast your vote ahead of the Welsh Ambulance Service annual awards ceremony.

Voting is open in four categories in the WAST Awards 2024, including Team of the Year, Inspiring Others, Great Listener and People’s Choice.

300 nominations have been received for the awards, which aims to celebrate the work and achievements of Welsh Ambulance Service staff.

Professor Jason Killens, Chief Executive at the Welsh Ambulance Service, said: “The Trust is full of amazing people, doing extraordinary things every day.

“Without their hard work, care and desire to help the people of Wales, the service simply would not function.

“Therefore, it’s really important that we recognise, celebrate and applaud our staff and volunteers.

“Often, our people are very modest about the job they do and don’t always realise just how special and important they are.

“Working for the ambulance service is not just any job – it’s a job that makes a real difference, so the WAST Awards are an opportunity to pause and reflect on their achievements and say a big thank you.

“Team WAST is made up of over 4,000 people and while they all contribute in their own unique ways, this is the public’s chance to tell us who they think should get some extra special recognition.”

You can cast your vote before the 11:59pm on Thursday 12 September.

Winners will be announced in person at the WAST Awards in November.
