Two charged following space of vehicle and theft offences in Wrexham
Two people have been charged following a spate of vehicle and theft offences across Wrexham City.
Marika Hutchinson and Ashley Busch, both of Rhosddu Road, Wrexham, were arrested on Friday 8 December
They have been charged, refused bail and remanded to court for 26 offences including theft from motor vehicle, interference with motor vehicles, fraud and theft from retail premises.
Both have been bailed for further enquiries in relation to seven other theft-related matters, to allow officers to gather more evidence.
Sgt Stevenson said: “At a time when people across Wrexham are excited in the build up to the festive period, these offences have caused significant harm and upset within the community.
“I am extremely proud of the efforts of all of our patrol and neighbourhood teams here in Wrexham who worked hard and responded quickly to make these arrests.
“While we have been able to recover some stolen property as part of this investigation, some of which was extremely sentimental to the owners, it is a timely reminder not to keep valuables within your vehicles and to ensure that vehicles are locked when unattended.”
