Today’s Town Centre Forum commended the Council for their roll out of the new town centre maps that have appeared around town.

One forum member said: “They really fit in excellently and the ‘you are here’ is a good touch.

“I hope they appear in other places including the hospital, station, bus station, Glyndwr University and the like”

The Town Centre Forum Manager says there are ten maps out there at the moment, but one has the wrong ‘you are here’ to lots of good natured chuckling in the TCF. There are no prizes to find it, but let us know if you do!

Council operated car parks will get more, and the second stage of roll out is to look at places outside the public realm eg. the hospital, where permissions are required to place the signage.

The town centre forum maps can also be found online by clicking here. As we have reported before, in a forward thinking move they are copyright free to distribute and print out!
