Three more arson attacks have been reported this evening, this time in Caia and unlike some recent incidents – these did not involve vehicles.

Earlier this evening one fire crew from Wrexham were called to a wheelie bin fire, which also damaged a fence panel in Pentre Gwyn.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at 6:57pm and one hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze.

Two minutes later firefighters received a call that two wheelie bins were on fire nearby on Bryn Hafod, with one pump and hose reel being used to extinguish the flames.

Later at 7:30pm the Fire Service were called to Caia again, to deal with a skip fire on Montgomery Road.

North Wales Police later tweeted to appeal for information and to confirm the incidents were arson.
