FOCUS Wales are hosting a free, all day show this Saturday 10th September on Llwyn Isaf in the city centre.

Having sold out tour dates throughout the UK this summer, indie band The Royston Club return to their hometown of Wrexham to headline the celebration. The line-up will also feature performances from some of the most exciting emerging Welsh artists, including locals Campfire Social, Seazoo, and Andy Hickie, as well as Tara Bandito, Sage Todz, and Cara Hammond.

The site on Llwyn Isaf will be open to the public from 12pm midday on Saturday, with no tickets required. Local food and drink providers will be on site, as well as some cover if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

Cllr Mark Pritchard, Leader of Wrexham County Borough Council said: “Working together with our partners we are keen to see Wrexham City and Wrexham County thrive and grow, making the best of every opportunity that comes our way.

“We are keen to explore the many opportunities that becoming the Capital City of North Wales will bring.

“We have also agreed that with our partners we will develop our cultural offering as we head towards reapplying for City of Culture in 2029.

“The events schedule for September will showcase what we do well in Wrexham.”

Cllr Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy & Regeneration said: “We have already secured levelling up funding for the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct area and are waiting to see if we are successful in our re-submitted bid for the Wrexham Gateway Project area. This funding would have a huge positive impact on the development of the Wrexham Gateway.

“Looking shorter term, a busy month of events in Wrexham will help entice further footfall into the high street.

“This is an exciting time for Wrexham locally, nationally and internationally and I’m keen to embrace and celebrate our successes and vision leading forward.”
