Teenager charged after incident at Gwersyllt Home Bargains

A teenager has been charged following an incident in Gwersyllt.

Shortly after 6pm on Thursday 27 June officers attended to a report of a disturbance inside the Home Bargains store on Dodd’s Lane.

A 16-year-old boy has since been charged with attempt wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.

He was remanded into custody to appear before the North East Wales Youth Court on Saturday 29 June.

He was further remanded into youth detention accommodation until his next appearance at Mold Magistrates Court on Tuesday 2 July.

North Wales Police have also issued the below advice to people on social media

Under section 49 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933, reporting restrictions in respect of defendants under 18 are automatic in the youth court.

It is illegal to publish information which breaches Section 49.
