A teenager has been arrested following an incident in Gwersyllt yesterday evening.

Shortly after 6pm yesterday, Thursday, June 27th, North Wales Police were called to reports of a disturbance inside the Home Bargains store on Dodd’s Lane.

Officers attended the store and a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of wounding and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

Detective Inspector Claire Roberts said: “This must have been a concerning incident for members of the public to have witnessed.

“I would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident, and that there is no wider threat to the public.

“Increased patrols will be taking place in the area for reassurance purposes.”
