“Tattoo Cymru” musical spectacular coming to Wrexham this autumn

A musical spectacular is coming to Wrexham this autumn to commemorate the 80 year anniversary of D-Day.

Tattoo Cymru – On Stage, at the William Aston Hall, will bring together an array of musical performances and dazzling displays on Saturday 2 November.

The D-Day anniversary will be at the heart of the event, with special tributes and narratives highlighting the bravery and sacrifice made during this critical moment in history.

It will conclude with a moving finale that reflects the legacy of D-Day.

Tattoo Cymru will feature

• The Combined Fire and Rescue Services Band
• The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue
• Fron Male Voice Choir
• The Royal Welch Fusiliers Corps of Drums
• City of Wrexham Brass
• The Scot’s Guards Association Pipes and Drums
• White Rose Highland Dancers
• Members from The National Youth Harp Orchestra
• Dazzling displays of precision drill
• Traditional Welsh border piping and dancing

Armed Forces Champion, Cllr Beverley Parry Jones, said: “The previous events were hugely successful and poignant evenings and it is appropriate that this year’s event highlights the bravery and sacrifices made on D-Day over 80 years ago.

“As we approach Remembrance Sunday it will be a fitting tribute to our armed forces and brings to the front of our minds the ultimate sacrifice made on our behalf so that we can enjoy the freedom that we have today.”

Tattoo Cymru will be at the William Aston Hall on Saturday 2 November from 7:30pm. Standard tickets are £25 and VIP are £40.
