“The logistics were huge, but it was all worth it.

“Seeing so many smiling faces and watching our young people enjoy their success has been quite moving.

“It is their day, they have done amazingly well, but as you’ve heard me say before, Rhosnesni students simply could not achieve results of this quality without the very best teachers.

“This mammoth year group has been quite superb and we must also acknowledge and thank our incredibly supportive parents.  They will be immensely proud today, and rightly so.”

A number of the school’s academic high-flyers achieved A* or A grades in the majority of their subjects.

“Most importantly, the governing body and I would like to congratulate all of our students on their success.  Your hard work and enthusiasm has certainly paid off.  Well done and good luck for the future.”

Ysgol Rhiwabon

This Year 11 was a cohort affected during Key Stage 3, by the disruption caused by the pandemic.

Despite these challenges, Year 11 students have achieved an excellent set of results and we are delighted for them.

The school has seen an increase in the number of students who have secured the highest grades A*/A across all their subjects.

Mrs Ferron-Evans, Headteacher, commented: “This cohort has worked very hard to secure success and we are very proud of them.

“Staff deserve a special mention for working tirelessly to support and secure this success, supported by the school governors.

“On behalf of the school and the Governing Body, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff, students and parents for their contribution to the incredible amount of hard work and dedication shown across a wide range of studies.

“The grades achieved provide certainty and opportunity for the future. As Ysgol Rhiwabon students move forward, supported by the school, the results will enable our young people to further their studies, or to enter the world of work, as confident and successful individuals.
