Last night (Wednesday 5th) we received reports of a car smashing into another car which was parked on a householders driveway.

The car that crashed into the parked car was incorrectly locally reported to be stolen – updated correction below.

The incident occurred in an estate off Abenbury Road, on the corner of Milbrook Road and Riverdale.

An eyewitness told Wrexham.com the driver ‘legged it’ , and there was lots of police in the area.

Another eyewitness said they could smell smoke although the car did not go on fire, saying ‘there was smoke and oil everywhere’.

Update 2:40pm Thursday: Police have told us a 34 old local man was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop after road traffic collision , failing to provide specimen for analysis, and driving with no insurance. The man has been bailed to appear before Wrexham Magistrates court on 28th December.
