Soapstar Soccerstar 2013 Comes To Town

The 22nd of June sees the arrival of Soapstar Soccerstar in Wrexham.

The charity football match, which will take place at the Racecourse will feature a team of Football Legends playing against a team of Soapstars.

Proceeds raised will be given to charities, which are Once Upon a Smile, The Racecourse Community, Hope Pre School Playgroup and Wrexham Community Day

Stars from Emmerdale, Waterloo Road and Coronation Street will be playing for the ‘Once Upon A Smile FC’ team, who are considered throughout the UK as being the biggest charity football team consisting of television personalities. Members of the team include Kevin Fletcher, Gareth Gates, Danny Young and Matt Lapinskas.

The Legends XI team consists of past and present footballing heroes from Wrexham and across Wales, including Wayne Phillips, Lee Jones, Andy Legg and Bryan Hughes.

Kick off for the game is 3pm and is £8 on the gate for an adult. For children (under 15) it’s £5 with concessions costing £5.

Pre-booked tickets are also available, costing £6 for adults, £3 for children and £3 for concessions. Alternatively a family ticket for two adults and two children is £15.
