Some schools in Wrexham are announcing they are closing this morning as the predicted snowfall hits the area.

There is a Yellow weather warning in place, with a rare snow-all-day forecast on the Met Office:

WXCHARTS indicates there is sleet/snow due this evening, with more snowfall in the early hours of tomorrow morning. Saturday is looking clear, importantly when Wrexham kick off but with a very cold night and temperates just over zero it could be one to watch, later in the evening there could be light snowfall. By Sunday temperatures are starting to rise as we will be back to traditional rain.

59 schools in Wrexham are reporting as closed as of 8:30am.
