Former Red Cross Stalwart Passes Away

Jean Twiss, a former mrmber of the Red Cross, has passed away on Saturday 8th December.

Jean is the lady in the red uniform in the above picture.

A friend of Jeans’, Sharon Robinson-Hudson told us “She was well known in Wrexham and the surrounding area through her work with Red Cross, holding classes for youngsters in the old Red Cross hut on a Thursday and also during summer holidays.”

“She also did First Aid duty at the International Eisteddfod among other events and was involved in Fundraising at Nightingale House Hospice, Wrexham as well.”

Her funeral is to be held at 12 noon on Wednesday 19th.
