The latest two receptionists from telephone answering specialist Moneypenny are flying off to New Zealand ready to join the team answering overnight calls for UK businesses during their daytime.

22-year-old Sarah Pemberton from Overton-On-Dee and 24-year-old Victoria Owens from Ruabon are heading off for an experience of a lifetime in Takapuna, Auckland as the numbers of businesses requiring 24/7 call handling continues to rise.

Sarah and Victoria are the latest employees to have the opportunity to spend a six month secondment on the other side of the world as part of Moneypenny’s commitment to delivering the best possible customer service – answering calls consistently and seamlessly, whatever time of the day or night they are received.

Back in 2012 Moneypenny took the decision to locate in New Zealand as the demand for a 24 hour service had been growing steadily – particularly among some of the company’s larger clients. Rachel Clacher, Moneypenny’s co-founder, had worked in Australia previously and had the idea to offer the `night-time’ service from the opposite time-zone, thereby covering every hour with wide awake, alert people.

Sarah said: “I never thought doing nights could be so exciting! I can’t wait to go. Not only has it opened up the opportunity for me to see a part of the world I never thought I would reach, but it will also enhance my future career opportunities. I am very grateful to Moneypenny for giving me this experience, it is once in a lifetime!”

Victoria added: “I love my job so I am really thrilled to be given the opportunity for a new challenge and feel honoured to be chosen to represent the company on the other side of the world. I want to embrace the adventure and plan to explore and enjoy New Zealand as much as possible. The first thing on the agenda is definitely a sky dive!”

Based on Wrexham Technology Park with work on a new HQ on the Western Gateway site underway, Moneypenny has more than 400 staff answering telephone calls for over 7,000 business of all shapes and sizes across all sectors, either on an overflow or fully outsourced basis.
