Public Services students at the Deeside and Yale Grove Park sites of Coleg Cambria have spent the last week fundraising for the Royal British Legion.

Public services students from Coleg Cambria Yale Grove Park have been selling poppies around the college site as well as in various locations around Wrexham.

Students from Coleg Cambria Deeside spent their time out and about in Connah’s Quay, Shotton and Queensferry raising awareness of the Royal British Legion by selling poppies and partaking in other fundraising activities.

Coleg Cambria Public Services Lecturer, Vanessa Griffiths said: “This is an important week for our students because it enhances their knowledge about the role of the Royal British Legion and the need for continued funding to support veterans and current servicing armed forces personnel.”

Students also participated in a two minutes silence.
