Police have said they are still searching for a missing man.

In a short statement this lunchtime they said, “Ongoing activity is continuing in the area of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct today as officers search for a missing man.

“Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance. Roads surrounding the area have since reopened.”

Yesterday saw a large amount of ground and air resources being used in a search, with a number of roads also closed off in the nearby area.

No further details have been released.
