A former game shop in Wrexham town centre could be converted into a new restaurant if plans are given the go ahead.

An application to turn 50-52 Regent Street into the eatery has been submitted for consideration by Wrexham Council.

The property had been home to Game Wrexham for 16 years before the company relocated to Henblas Street last summer.

Since then the premises has been vacant.

However as part of the proposals the building could be converted into a restaurant with takeaway facilities.

The planning application says the building will be used for pizza preparation and sale, with a seating area at the front of the property.

If approved it is claimed five full time and five part time jobs could be created.

The application will be considered for approval by Wrexham Council at a later date.
