People’s Market Toilets Closed Due to ‘Anti-social Behaviour’
‘Misuse and anti social behaviour’ has resulted in the temporary closure of a set of public toilets in Wrexham.
The male and female public toilets in the People’s Market have been closed for a number of weeks due to the ongoing problems in the facilities.
A sign on the male and female public toilets in the market states: “These toilets are temporarily closed due to recent misuse and anti social behaviour by some users.
“The nearest public toilets are at Henblas Street. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
A spokesperson for Wrexham Council confirmed both the male and female toilets at the market are closed at present and ‘the situation will be given further consideration’.
As a result members of the public are being directed to the refurbished toilets on Henblas Street.
There is no indication when the male and female public toilets will reopen.
Earlier this year assurances were given that there would be a clampdown on anti-social behaviour at the People’s Market after drug paraphernalia and human waste were found in the People’s Market stairwells.
