Oh yes they are! A local community theatre company has roles up for grabs as it begins preparations for the return of its legendary Wrexham pantomime.

Top Top Productions will stage five performances of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” at the William Aston Hall at Wrexham University from Thursday 5 December – Saturday 7 December.

It is the first panto the local theatre company has held in several years.

With casting announced for the adult roles, producers are now looking to cast a number of children to play the iconic Seven Dwarfs.

Auditions for “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” will take place at Tip Top’s Park Street Studio in Wrexham at 2pm on Sunday 1 September.

Anyone interested in auditioning must be available to rehearse from early October, have good singing and dancing skills and an ability to perform scripted lines.

Parents and Guardians should note that a school’s performance is scheduled on Thursday 5 December at 10am and permission from Headteachers to perform will be required for any children successfully cast.

In addition to casting the dwarfs, a separate round of auditions will also be held for dancers (age 18+) at 2pm on Sunday 8 September.

Speaking about the auditions, the show’s writer and director Peter Swingler OBE said: “Snow White is now looking for her seven little friends to join her at Wrexham’s William Aston Hall for five performances from Thursday 5 December.

If your child is interested in trying out for one of the parts then please register interest using the email address below.

“We’re also auditioning for dancers age 18+ so there are a number of opportunities to get involved.

“Rehearsals will take place at our studio in Wrexham from early October and occasionally, we may rehearse in Chester. A full rehearsal schedule will be issued.

“We are very much looking forward to beginning rehearsals for what will be our first Pantomime for a number of years, we can’t wait to get started.”

Parents can register interest in their child auditioning via email stating their child’s name and a contact phone number to [email protected]

Dancers aged 18+ interested in auditioning can also register their interest via the same email address.

Full details of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and all other upcoming Tip Top Productions shows can be found on the website where tickets can be booked online.
