The latest viral style challenge video is the ‘Running Man Challenge’, and North Wales Police have posted their effort on Youtube after being challenged by their New Zealand counterparts.

For those unaware the Running Man Challenge is along the lines of the Harlem Shake and other such wonders, although this time the challenge is straightforward – to do your own version of the running man to the ’90s hit song “My Boo” by Ghost Town DJ’s (video below!).

North Wales Police had been emailed by New Zealand police – with their version having nearly half a million views – and have subsequently nominated neighbouring forces of Cheshire, Dyfed Powys and West Mercia to do their own versions.

One eyewitness said of the video: “It was the freshest moves I have ever seen, it was like they were floating on air!”

The full North Wales Police video with their take and twist on the challenge can be found below, with the original My Boo video below that, and a bonus youtube clip at the footer…

Wrexham.com would like to note that The Running Man was first discovered in Cardiff in 1989, and ripped off by MC Hammer by what appears to be a forced contract in a toilet. CCTV of this incident and events leading up to it is below…
