Wrexham AFC kicked off 2024 as the bells rang out by announcing Paul Mullin and Elliot Lee have both signed new contracts to 2027.

Mullin, 29, is Wrexham’s reigning, back-to-back Player of the Season and the 2022/23 FA Cup Golden Ball winner, and scored his tenth goal of the 2023/24 season on Friday night away to Walsall. Lee, meanwhile, is leading the Red Dragons’ goalscoring charts this season with 13 in 29 games in all competitions.

On signing his latest contract, Mullin said: “I’m unbelievably happy and grateful to extend my stay at Wrexham. Since signing for the Club, I’ve loved every single second.

“It’s not just become my Club, but my whole family also.

“The chance to perform in front of the support we receive is something you long for as a child. Here’s to creating more memories to last a lifetime – up the town!”

On his new deal, Lee said: “It means a lot. When I signed 18 months ago, there were high expectations but not I even saw just how well it was going to go. I’m delighted to be extending my stay with Wrexham.

“It’s a special feeling playing for the Club. Growing up, it was Newcastle and West Ham I had an affinity too and wanted to play for, but I feel I have that now with Wrexham.

“To represent the team, the badge and the people of Wrexham is a special feeling – I love playing playing for the Club.”

Manager Phil Parkinson added: “We’re delighted we’ve agreed deals with Paul and Elliot. They are two really key players for the Club moving forward.

“There’s always a lot of talk going into a transfer window, but the most important thing is to keep hold of your best players – they are two very important signings for us, and we’re very pleased to have agreed deals with them.”
