New home revealed as huge demand hits Wrexham AFC online store

The new red kit that Wrexham will be promoted in this season has been released for presale this morning.

Locally there has been rumours of issues around the launch, resulting in old kits being used for the first friendly at Hanley. This morning saw the new kits go on presale at 9am – with queuing systems in place to handle the huge demand for a kit that was at the time both unseen and unpriced.

The new red shirts will be worn for the first time when Wrexham AFC Women take on SoCal FC on Friday (July 19), with the men’s team then wearing them against AFC Bournemouth the following day.

The launch of the new shirts sees Wrexham AFC extend the partnership with our Official Kit Supplier, Macron, for a further season. Macron will supply the red home, black away and gold third kits for the coming season, as well as our training, travel and leisurewear, taking our partnership into a ninth season.

Our gold third shirt will be launched on July 24, ahead of Wrexham AFC Women debuting the shirt in their match against Portland Thorns Academy on Saturday July 26.

The black away shirt will then be launched on Thursday August 1, and will be worn for the first time in the friendly at home to Fleetwood Town. The trainingwear will be available to buy in store and online at the end of next month.

The Macron home shirt – complete with front-of-shirt sponsor, United Airlines, and sleeve sponsor, HP – boasts embossed dragon scales and Y Ddraig Goch within the design.

Crafted from Macron’s Eco Fabric, the shirt also features a full white collar – offering a throwback to older Wrexham shirts, as Wrexham approachs the 160th anniversary of the Club’s foundation.

Macron’s Eco Fabric is their eco-sustainable thread, made with a 100% PET recycled polyester and certified by Global Recycle Standard. For every shirt produced, 13 0.5 litre bottles are recycled.

Consistent across all of our 2024/25 shirts, it also includes a tribute to the 266 victims of the Gresford Colliery Disaster ahead of the 90th anniversary of the disaster on September 22, 1934 – with ‘266’ and a miner’s wheel on the nape.

The shirt is available to pre-order via shop.wrexhamafc.co.uk, costing £60 for adults (5XL-M), £50 for juniors (S-3XS) and £40.00 for sizes 3-6m to 1-2y.
