“ReUnited” is an original documentary presented by United Airlines, telling the heartwarming story of five Wrexham fans from Patagonia, southern Argentina, home to the largest population of Welsh people living outside of Wales, as they make the journey of a lifetime to Wrexham.

It is from the producers of the “Welcome to Wrexham” documentary and has been released online, and will feature on United inflight entertainment.

United say, “Underscoring the airline’s mission to connect people and unite the world, ReUnited follows Matias, Rocio, David, and father and son Ricardo and Felipe, as they travel 7,604 miles with United to Wales and the Racecourse in Wrexham. The five Wrexham fans reconnect with their Welsh roots and heritage and visit the very same shores their ancestors set sail from 160 years ago, bound for distant Patagonia in a quest to preserve their way of life, culture and language. On arrival in Wrexham, just in time for St David’s Day, they are welcomed as family into the heart of the community and their emotional journey reaches its climax as they attend their first ever Wrexham A.F.C. match and meet Club Co-Chairman, Rob McElhenny.

“ReUnited is just the latest exciting chapter in United’s official front-of-shirt sponsorship of Wrexham A.F.C. for both the men’s and women’s teams, originally announced in June 2023. The documentary follows hot on the heels of the new, limited-edition Wrexham A.F.C. inflight amenity kits and pyjamas, available for travellers flying in United’s premium cabins on long-haul international routes from 1 June 2024.

“For the 2024-2025 season, United is excited to continue its partnership with the Wrexham A.F.C. team and fans that represent the best of what professional sports has to offer. With Wrexham A.F.C.’s recent promotion to League One and surge in global popularity with the Emmy® award-winning show “FX’s Welcome to Wrexham”, the team, town and fans around the world are united as never before.

The ReUnited documentary in full is available to view below, united.com/reunited, as well as onboard United flights from August 2024 as part of its inflight entertainment programme.
