Visits to a community by a mobile Natwest bank branch could become a reality after a spokesman for a community hub said it has thrown it’s weight behind the proposals.

Natwest are seeking to establish a mobile bank service to serve rural communities. A purpose built vehicle visits various locations at scheduled times throughout the week offering access to a range of banking services.

Trustees of Brymbo Enterprise Centre look set to offer space on their car park for the mobile facility to use if it visits the community.

The centre already hosts a range of services including cafe, children’s day care nursery, gym and Post Office.

Brymbo Councillor Paul Rogers who is also a trustee of the Enterprise Centre has held discussions with Natwest and welcomed the possibility of a mobile branch visiting the village.

Cllr Rogers said: “I hope that we can secure visits by the mobile bank to our community. It’s success will obviously depend on community support.”

“Brymbo Enterprise Centre already offer a range of services and we are always looking at ways in which we can support the community”

“I have had discussions with Natwest and subject to further talks there is a real possibility this could become a reality”

“We look forward to a decision being made in the near future as to whether we will benefit from this new service”
