Meet Taz and Toto – the adorable new arrivals at Ty Mawr Country Park

Wrexham.com for people living in or visiting the Wrexham area

Meet the adorable new arrivals who have stolen the hearts of staff and visitors at a Wrexham country park.

Taz and Toto, a pair of male Kunekune pigs, have recently moved into their new home at Ty Mawr.

Staff at the country park were asked to take them in by a lady with a smallholding who saved them from the abattoir and they jumped at the chance having had these types of pigs before.

The duo have settled into their new home and love a back scratch and a scratch behind the ears!

Kunekune pigs hail from New Zealand and are friendly hairy pigs in various colours and they’re the smallest domesticated breed of pig.

They have a lovely temperament, are very easily to handle and are full of character.

You can also sponsor an animal at Ty Mawr! More information can be found on the Wrexham Council website, here.
