Man ‘walked to safety’ by fire crews following Acrefair flooding

North Wales Fire and Rescue have provided an update following the bad weather earlier today.

They say earkier today a man was walked to safety by crews after his vehicle got stuck in floodwater in Acrefair, and that they were called to a woman stuck in her vehicle in floodwater in Llafynydd, Flintshire.

A crew is currently in attendance at Sandy Cove, Rhyl assisting with the evacuation of affected properties.

They added, “We have also been in attendance on Shore Road, Llanfairfechan responding to reports of a woman stuck in her vehicle in floodwater, and officers and crews are currently in attendance on the promenade assessing reports of flooding.

“Members of the public are advised to stay away from fast flowing watercourses and not to drive through flooded roads.”
