Man charged with wounding following incident in Acton

A 19-year-old man has been charged with wounding following an incident in Acton.

Emergency services were called to Acton following reports of an assault at a property shortly after 2.45pm on Wednesday, June 5.

A 27-year-old man was airlifted to Stoke hospital with serious injuries, but has since been discharged.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: Levi Jones, of Stratford Close, Wrexham was arrested and subsequently charged yesterday (Thursday, June 6) with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

“He was remanded into custody to appear before Mold Magistrates Court this morning.”

Speaking on Wednesday Acting Detective Inspector Claire Roberts said: “This was a contained incident that has now concluded, and we have no ongoing concerns for the community.

“Thank you to residents for their support whilst emergency services dealt with the incident that has now concluded.”
