A man has been arrested after a number of shop windows were smashed early this morning.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said they received reports that numerous properties in the Henblas Street, Queens Square and Regent St areas had been damaged.

Several windows have been damaged with officers still in the town speaking to various shop owners as of 11am. All shops affected appear to still be trading.

The incidents took place at around 7am this morning and shop and pub windows were targeted.

It has since been confirmed that a 34-year-old man was arrested just before 7:30am for a number of offences of criminal damage in the town centre.

Town Centre Inspector Vic Powell added that officers are in the town centre this morning offering support and updates.
