The A483 northbound near Rhostyllen was temporarily closed off this morning due to a serious incident involving an overturned vehicle.

We have been told by eyewitness that a car had left the road and gone down an embankment, with one person trapped in the vehicle.

It is believed the incident took place at the junction near Little Chef.

A male in his 20s was removed from the car by fire crews and taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The condition of the male is not yet known.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire & Rescue Service they received a call at 7:43am this morning and two appliances attended the scene.

We have been told by onlookers that two ambulances were also in attendance.

There were reports of large tailbacks on the A483 with people tweeting in to say that heavy traffic had built up in the area.

We have been told by Dickens Vauxhall that traffic had started flowing shortly after 9:30am. However one lane remains closed.
