Hundreds of pounds worth of new toys have been donated to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital thanks to the Erddig Muddy Trainers running group.

Members of the beginners group, which meets on Saturdays and Wednesdays, met with staff from the hospital’s paediatric A&E this week to donate the much needed toys for the waiting room.

The Erddig Muddy Trainers, along with Active8 Gym, raised £350 which was very generously matched by Smyths Toys on Island Green in Wrexham.

During a visit to the shop they filled up three trolleys of goodies before delivering them to hospital staff to help brighten up the department for the young patients.
