Local police offer reassurance and invite following successful Play Day engagement

Wrexham’s policing team have offered reassurance and an invite to those holding summer events.

The picture above was taken at the Play Day on Llywn Isaf, where children and the odd adult were able to clamber in and try out the siren (and loud horn!) of one of the North Wales Police electric vans at the event.

Local police have said, “We understand our communities may be feeling anxious in light of some of the disorder happening around the country and the tragic event in Southport.

“Yesterday was National play day and many of our schools and community officers attended events across North Wales and were welcomed by children and adults alike.”

“We are here for you and want to listen to your concerns, if you have an upcoming event this summer and would like us to attend, or if you have a community group that would like us to talk to you about crime prevention / personal safety, or if you are a business and have concerns please get in touch via email [email protected] and we will endeavour to come and see you, (resources permitting) alternatively you can call us on 101 with any concerns or information you have. “
