Local councillors welcome opening of new Ponciau convenience store

Four local councillors have welcomed the opening of a new convenience store in Ponciau.

Run by Mr Sojan ‘Ponciau Stores’ is set to open in the village on August 1.

Selling a wide range of goods and services the convenience store will open seven days a week between 7am and 9:30pm.

Local councillors David A Bithell, Paul Pemberton, Fred Roberts and Steve Joe Jones recently met with Mr Sojan to congratulate him on his new venture.

Councillor Paul Pemberton said that the opening of Ponciau Stores has been welcomed by the local community.

He added: “This is great news for Ponciau after near 14 years without a local convenience store.
