Emergency services were called to a fire in Wrexham town centre late Sunday night.

Fire crews received a call at around 10:58pm regarding a fire on Argyle Street, at the rear of the British Heart Foundation store and Iceland.

One appliance from Wrexham attended the incident, which had been caused by a rubbish fire that had spread.

It is believed the cause of the fire was accidental and minimal damage was caused to a building.

A few asked us about smell of smoke in town on Sunday evening, with one eyewitness telling Wrexham.com there was ‘lots of black smoke could be seen from most of the town’.
