Further Overnight Road Closures For A483 & A55 Announced

Details of further overnight closures on the A483 / A55 have been announced with several scheduled to take place over the next few days.

The Highways Agency website states that tomorrow night (Friday 17th April) between 8:00pm to 7:00am, there will be a full closure of the A55 westbound from Junction 38 (A483) to junction 36 (Bretton) and eastbound from junction 35 (Broughton) to junction 38 (A483), for the installation of a footbridge.

On the nights of Saturday 18th, Sunday 19th, Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st April 2015, there will be a full closure of the A483 north and southbound between the junction with the B5102 and the A55. These road closures will take place between 9:00pm and 5:00am,

Also taking place on the on the night of Monday 20th April 2015, between 9:00pm and 5:00am, there will be a total closure of A55 eastbound exit slip road. On Tuesday 21st April 2015, between 9:00pm and 5:00am, there will be a total closure of A55 westbound exit slip road.

It has also been announced that on each night from Wednesday 22nd April to Friday 24th April between 8:00pm and 5:00am there will be a full closure of the A55 east and westbound between the access and exit slip roads.

The roadworks, which are part of a multi-million pound pinchpoint scheme began in October and were initially expected to be complete by the end of March. However it is unlikely that the work will now be completed before May 10th.

Costings for the roadworks have also increased from £5.3m to £6m.
