Five Hospitalised After Car Overturns in Early Hours of The Morning

Five people were taken to hospital in the early hours of this morning after a car overturned near a stream in Wrexham. 

At around 1am this morning emergency services were called to Sontley Road, near Erddig following reports that a car had overturned on its roof.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s environmental protection unit was also called to the scene after the car started to leak oil into the stream.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene along with the Welsh Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for North Wales Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12.58am this morning, Thursday 5 November, to a one-vehicle road traffic accident on Sontley Road in Wrexham.

“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, which was supported by a crew from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

“Five people were taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital, none of whom are thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries.”
