A property in a Wrexham village has been damaged after a fire broke out on Monday night.

Fire crews from Johnstown and Wrexham were called to the blaze in the Rhosllanerchrugog/Ponciau area shortly before 9am on August 26.

Johnstown Fire say that on arrival firefighters were “met with a house well alight on the first floor.”

The occupants of the house had evacuated the home prior to the crews arrival.

Four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire and prevent the spread to neighbouring properties.
