A fourth vehicle fire incident has occurred in the Ruabon area in the early hours of this morning.

Johnstown fire crews released the above and below images, saying, “At 00:38 this morning we were mobilised to yet another vehicle fire in the area of Ruabon. This vehicle just like the other 3 we have attended in the last couple of days is thought to be set a light deliberately.

“We responded quickly and we managed to stop the spread of fire to the two other vehicles parked closely next to the vehicle that was involved in the fire”.

Yesterday North Wales Police issued an appeal, possible referring to an incident the night before although was timed at midday, stating “Shortly before 12:00 hours on Saturday 24th August 2024, North Wales Police received a call from North Wales Fire Service reporting a vehicle has been set on fire in the Ponciau/Rhosllanerchrugog area.

“We would to ask those with CCTV or footage to review around the time of the incident and report anything suspicious to 101 or webchat quoting reference number Q127366.”

Previously we have been able to query if there were any injured parties or if the ambulance service were called but no longer communicate on such incidents. The Welsh Ambulance service have previously said, “While we appreciate some incidents may be of interest to the public, this is not the same as in the public interest. We therefore no longer respond to enquiries about routine incidents, including minor RTCs, unless there is significant disruption or other extenuating circumstances.”
