A day packed full of festive events will kick off Wrexham’s Christmas light switch on.

Organised by Wrexham Council in collaboration with Eagles Meadow and Nightingale House Hospice, this year’s festivities will kick off on Saturday 18 November.

It’s a change to the norm for Wrexham’s first Christmas event which has traditionally taken place on a Thursday evening.

The fun will kick off on Queens Square from 11:30am with the promise of festive entertainment for the public.

From 3pm the festive celebrations will move to Eagles Meadow before the big light switch on at 7pm.

Performers on the evening will include Andy Bennett from Ocean Colour Scene, who will be headlining the Show.

Electronic dance music group Oceanic will also take to the stage as well as “Agadoo’s” Dene Michael’s Black Lace.

There will also be a very special Christmas guest in attendance.
