This afternoon has seen a Eurofighter Typhoon jet circling the skies of Wrexham and North Wales.

Just after 2:40pm a very loud and very fast jet was sighted to the North of the Town, with many able to hear the rumble of the engines despite not being able to see it.

Several replied to our tweets about the plane, with some managing to get pictures as it looped around the area.

The plane did several tight high speed ‘full burn’ turns, as well as calmer less noisy runs.

Currently there is a large NATO conference occurring in South Wales, so we assume the activity today is related to that either in terms of security or part of the ‘air parade’ due tomorrow – which includes a German Eurofighter.
