Update: The road has now reopened and traffic is flowing as normal

Original: Emergency services are in attendance at a road traffic incident in the city centre.

North Wales Police say the incident has taken place in Regent Street.

The Welsh Ambulance Service is also at the scene near McDonalds.

The incident itself appears to have taken place near the pedestrian crossing outside Waterstones.

In a statement North Wales Police said: “North Wales Police are advising members of the public to avoid Regent Street in Wrexham as Emergency Services are currently dealing with a Road Traffic Incident.

“Please consider alternative routes on your travels and avoid the area in the meantime.”

More information when we have it.
