The General Election is just days away, the first on the new electoral map of the UK.

The changes were finalised and announced by the Boundary Commission in June 2023 after a several year review into the electoral map.

In Wales there has been a reduction from 40 parliamentary constituencies to 32, with each containing between 69,724 and 77,062 electors.

Locally there have been significant changes for voters across Wrexham – the biggest of which is the removal of Clwyd South. The Wrexham constituency has been expanded.

A third constituency now also covers some residents in the county borough – including those who live in Trevor and Froncysyllte.

These areas are now covered by Clwyd East – which is a three country ward covering Wrexham, Flintshire and Denbighshire.

You can find a zoomable map of the below on this OrdnanceSurvey.co.uk page where you can look at the new constituencies and where they cover.

For specific polling station information you can pop your postcode into wheredoivote.co.uk and it will give you the exact location address.

You can find candidate Q&As, bios, and links to party manifestos over on Wrexham.com/general-election-2024!
